DISTANT DRUMS LICENSED IN UTAH

(July 12, 2005)

Distant Drums an outdoor young adult program located in Utah, announced the program is now offering a Utah licensed adolescent program ?Distant Drums Beginnings,? which is a companion program to their Adult Program.

Lee further announced that he has stepped down as CEO of the programs, and Dr. Scott Smith is the new CEO of the Distant Drums Programs. Lee is the admissions coordinator.

Dr. Smith has 18 years experience-administering programs for troubled teens and for mentally challenged adults, specializing in troubled teens and intercity youth of all ages and backgrounds. Dr. Smith was a Congressional Chairperson dealing with issues of youth and mental health. He also has been appointed on the Charter School Board for Utah. We are excited with his vision for the future and how our already outstanding program will be enriched and evolved under his leadership.

Mark Wardle will continue as program Manager and our excellent outdoor programs will continue to help young people overcome their problems.

Both programs are in operation with adolescent students and young adults in the field and including the summer program in the Wasatch mountains where the air is cool with an abundance of trees and cool water. When the West Desert cools down in October the Distant Drums programs will move back to the beautiful desert mountains.

------------------------------

UTAH HAS FAR TOO MANY PROGRAMS.  NOT ENOUGH STAFF TO MONITOR THEM.

Anybody know anything about this program?

Also, what's the background on the Wardle family?  Have they been involved in other programs?
