A friend of mine brewed some damned good porter. I had plenty of it the other night...

I should brew some beer this fall. I need a new fermenter, though. The old one doesn't seal well.

Microbrews rock!  Being a big fan of fermented beverages, I must say that most of the commercially available beers are watered down piss.  Some of the finest beverages I have ever had the pleasure of imbibing are the products of microbreweries and homebrewers.  In my town, there is one bar that serves it's own brew, and it is generally cheaper and tastier than anything else on tap.  I have sampled (well, more than sampled) many microbrews from coast to coast, and they have, with very few exceptions, beat the living fuck out of any beer that is made by major commercial breweries.  A buddy of mine makes a really tasty chocolate stout that kicks even Guiness around, and some of the finest lagers I have ever tasted came from another friend's garage.  I plan to start expiramenting with making my own beer in the very near future.

Try the Triple Rock Brewing Co. if you're ever in Berkeley, CA.  Also, many people like the Mendocino Brewing Co., but the only product of theirs that I like is the Blackhawk Stout.  Their premier product, Red Tail Ale, is a little too much like Sierra Nevada or Anchor Steam for my taste.

try replacing the "o" ring , I got a new one from where I got my rig.
