Just guessing based on the manic eye glaze, I'd say Mack and McCullum are probably both pretty thick with the faithful. No solid basis in fact to assume it except for that Oxysporum Fusarium thing. Just a gut level curiosity.
If you run accross the name Paula Hawkins in association with any of these characters, I'm interested in that.
